Raw Kale Cocktail and Savory Kale Chips

What the Kale’s going on here?  Yes, it’s green goodness overload! I’m getting all my nutrients in a little jigger, and some crunchy snacks, that’s just what the doctor ordered.  I’ve had a annoying sinus infection for a month now, I’ve tried everything to get these bugs out of my head!  I’m thinking if this green goodness slime doesn’t do it, nothing will! I’ve been drinking these before breakfast & dinner for a week (I think it’s working), they’re pretty tasty, although I rather maybe a mojtio, just sayin’ ;D…..

Kale Smoothie

  • 3 Hand Full Raw Kale (purple makes it pretty)
  • 3/4 Cup Filtered Water
  • 1 Sweet Apple Sliced or Pear (skin on)
  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • Hand Full Red Grapes
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Frozen Michigan Blueberries
  • 1 Small Nob Grated Ginger (optional)
  • 2 Tbs Ground Flax Seed
  • 4 Mint leaves

Method To The Madness:

Add everything into the blender or smoothie machine, add water or soy/rice milk to thin, and blend.  I don’t blend it into a puree, I like just a little texture.  You can add protein powder for a added boost & more blueberries if you need to mask the green color for the not so loving greens eater.  You can drizzle agave nectar or honey if you need more sweetness.  Makes 2 servings.

Kale Cruncher Chips could be the easiest healthy snack on the planet to make, just three ingredients you can have a crunchy healthy snack.  Not only is kale packed full of fiber, it’s low calorie (only 40 calories in 2 cups), full of vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium & Iron!  Every girls dream!


Kale Crunchers

  • 8 Cups Chopped Kale
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Sea Salt
  • Cracked Black Pepper (optional)

Method To The Madness:

Preheat oven to 350

Wash & dry kale.  Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper, spread kale out and drizzle with olive oil then sprinkle with salt & pepper.  You can add any type of seasoning you prefer.  Bake for 15 minutes or longer to get a nice crunch (edges will start to brown). To acquire this you may need to sample several.  Store on paper towel in air tight container.
